With
the foreign population of Rosarito estimated
at more than 14,000, FRAO grew
to the point where pretty soon people
needed information on how to adopt a pet,
where to hire an electrician or where to
volunteer their time. Now, it has become
an office where newcomers and long time
residents can find orientation for local
routine procedures as well as referrals such as:
immigration, insurance, taxes, medical,
dental, legal, cultural and social
information to help them through the
necessary steps to become a comfortable
resident.
FRAO
encourages the development and cooperative
relationship between the Municipal and
State offices and the foreign residents
who have chosen Rosarito as their
permanent or temporary place to live,
either for its diverse and natural
richness like fishing, surfing, horseback
riding, art buying, world class
restaurants serving international cuisine
and local specialties or just for a
romantic walk on the beach.
Convinced
of achieving goals through joint
collaboration, Rosarito proudly is a member of the sister Cities
Program of the World.
The
City
Council sponsors
and supports the programs of Rosarito’s
Sister Cities Committee formed by nine
commissions; education, arts and culture,
sports, lodging and entertainment, health,
donation reception, public relations,
parks & recreation and youth, all for
a beneficial outreach and exchange of
ideas and activities in favor of our city.
